Music is Communal & Participatory…
Somewhere along the line, western musical culture has devalued the communal and participatory nature of music. Our goal here at LVL-UP is to offer our community the opportunity to experience what we have been missing out on. We don’t care where your skills are now, we care about how we can get you engaged musically, now! We believe that anyone can participate in the jam session and we want to prove it to you - that’s our mission - because its human to make music together and we want to bring that to you!

“Michael is very patient. He also takes time to explain your instrument so that you feel comfortable playing. He breaks all the parts and pieces of the music down so that you never feel rushed. You can learn at your own pace. I would highly recommend Michael to a beginner or an advanced player. He is an amazing musician on many levels!!.”

“Our private lessons get you playing today, jamming next week, and performing next month! We know that sounds like a lot but we know it isn’t as hard as it looks, and we believe you belong up their on stage just as much as your favorite artist or musician, because playing music isn’t just for professionals, its for everyone.
We know it to be true because we have benefitted from playing music with our family, our friends, and strangers on a deep emotional, spiritual, cognitive, and therapeutic level that we want to share with as many people as we can.
Playing music together is as human as playing tag, hide and seek, having a conversation, or sitting down to share a meal or playing a board game. We want to normalize a musical household in our community because we think it could do us all a lot of good.
Music is a language we can all speak and share no matter our origin or trajectory. A language that powerful shouldn’t just be for musicians, rockstars, or professions, it should be for everyone. Just like speaking our native language isn’t just for career politicians or public speakers. We are all free to speak our mind, we should be free to make and play music too.
If you’re starting a musical journey for yourself or someone you love or you’re just picking up where you left off, consider starting that new journey with us!”
